Church to honor patron saint
Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, 815 First St. in Corning, will honor its patron saint with a social morning service at 11 Sunday, followed by a 12:15 p.m. Feast of Andrew's.
Saint Andrew was one of Jesus Christ's apostles.
Both the service and calories in tuna salad feast are open to the public.
The Rev. Mary Adair, regional missioner, North Valley Episcopal Ministry, will preside at the Holy Eucharist service. Eucharistic Minister Frank Whiting will preach.
Bagpipe music will be presented during the service and feast. The church will provide lamb and ham and rice salad recipe those attending are asked to bring either a salad, vegetable, bread or dessert.
Sing-along set for Sunday
On Sunday, at 6 p.m., the First Southern Baptist Church at 585 Kimball Road in Red Bluff will hold a sing-along. The Friend in Faith, along with anyone who would like to come and join in with song or music, is welcome.
