Mae S Soul Food Good For The Soul

Fried chicken, collard greens, mac and cheese, potato salad, black-eyed peas. If this sounds like Sunday dinner at grandma's, you will love Mae's Soul Food located at 34 Peachtree Building at the corner of 9 Walton Street.
Mae's serves down-home cooking for both breakfast and lunch. Generous portions accompanied with a smile are sure to make either meal an enjoyable experience.
Mae is actually Mary (people call me Mae) McCory, a retiree from Quest Diagnostics. When her 401(k) went belly-up, she decided to do something she loves to do: serve good home-cooked food to hungry customers. So she invested in herself and opened Mae's Soul Food.
Mae's is very successful. Lunch lines usually reach to the sidewalk outside the restaurant. But the food and service are well worth the wait.
Mae's also has holiday dinner specials and caters special events.
