Reviews: Andrew S Bistro



(TV Diner) - The motto at this French venue, Andrew's Bistro is 'Good Food, Good Friends.' Tune in to find out the flavors behind Chef Andrew Aytac's cuisine.
Rhode Island may be the smallest state in the Union, but it's definitely big when it comes to really good restaurants.
And we've just discovered yet another winner --- Andrew's Bistro in Cumberland, which is in northern Rhode Island.
The menu offers French, Italian and oriental salad recipe American bistro cuisine. Guys, you are gonna love the wine bar and the big leather couch, where you sit while you wait for your table.
We got things going with the Bistro Crab Cakes, two splendid lump crab cakes served over roasted corn salsa and topped with a decadent remoulade sauce.
Equally satisfying was Salad Estiva, tender leaves of organic Bibb lettuce and thinly sliced strawberries dressed beautifully in a chive-citrus vinaigrette.
We cleaned our plates and green pea salad craved more!
We can't say enough about the Pork Calvados, medallions of pork tenderloin, in a cream sauce with a hint of apple brandy.
The Chicken Francaise in a shallot-lemon butter sauce was tender enough to cut with a fork. On the side were buttery mashed potatoes garnished with fried threads of sweet potato, and waldorf chicken salad broiled tomatoes topped with melted cheese.
From a very tempting dessert tray, we chose the ooey-gooey Chocolate Fondant Cakea wedge of Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. Again, we cleaned our plates!
